Homegrown Foods Opens

I’ve written before about riding to the Springfield Farmer’s Market at Battlefield Mall. We now have a new option close to home. Today I rode to the grand opening of Homegrown Foods at the corner of Pickwick and Cherry.

That’s my Redline out front. And those panneirs are full of goodies grown locally.

My husband and I bike to the Flagstaff Farmer’s Market yesterday and by the time we left not a tree or post was free of a bike locked to it. Every Sunday is a real couples or family outting to the Farmer’s Market. We often include a visit to Macy’s European Coffee House or Brandy’s for breakfast afterward. I can’t think of a better way to spend the morning.

My wife and I are moving to Roundtree this weekend..and we already can’t wait to check out this new store.

I was in Fayetteville on Saturday and just happened to run across their Farmer’s Market (on their downtown square) and it was AMAZING. It made me jealous, and also curious why we couldn’t have something similar here in Springfield..

Brad… You’ll like being near all the retail at Pickwick and Cherry. I’m going to write something about that area soon.
