Check out the front page article on the CIP tax renewal in today’s News-Leader.
Apparently Councilman John Rush is worried that the 1.5 percent of the money set aside for bicycle route improvements could cause people to vote against the tax renewal.
At noon the article shows that nine people have commented. But only six are showing. I assume that means three have been deleted. It isn’t difficult to imagine why.
But what’s really disheartening are the comments that express mistrust, i.e. the city won’t deliver on CIP promises. That’s not been the history of the CIP from what I’ve seen.
