Last night my wife and I rode downtown with friends to have dinner at Springfield Brewing Company and see a movie at Hollywood Theaters. We took advantage of the dinner-and-a-movie promotion, so tickets were just $5.
Walnut St., part of the Springfield bicycle route system, provides a pleasant route to downtown. It’s a wide, sharable road. No need to ride in the gutter (actually, there’s never a “need” to ride in the gutter). Cars have plenty of room to pass.
The closet parking to the theater at the moment is the Heer’s garage across the street. There are four lollipop racks in a covered and lighted environment.
