The 10-day weather forecast is looking pretty good. We’re going to top out in the high 70s today — unseasonably warm (or the new normal?). And the forecast is for mostly mild temperatures until the middle of the month. But, this is Missouri. Things can change fast. And drastically.
Although I’m good to go even in harsh weather, I like to mention the good days now because they bring out more bicyclists. I saw “many” on my way to my office this morning and “many” on my way to campus (about 3.5 miles total). Now I put quotes marks around many because the term is relative, and I didn’t keep count (I have a guess).
For Amsterdam or Copenhagen, the number of bicyclists I saw this morning would indicate a major disaster had taken place. You’d be wandering the barren streets wondering what happened to everybody. But for Springfield, the seven or eight that I saw tells me to expect a big increase on the streets this year.
We need to conduct an official count.
With the nicer weather I’ll try to publish some more video soon.

Ya know, it’s odd. Now that you mention it, I didn’t see any other bikes this morning. I’m guessing it may have been because I was a few minutes earlier than normal. I’ll probably make up for it on the way home tonite.
