Light snow began falling this morning around 8 a.m., and it has continued intermittently throughout the day. The temperature is 32 degrees. Very little has accumulated — just patches on the grass, on roofs, on cars, and on the larger branches of trees. The wind is steady out of the NW making it feel like 22 degrees.

A good day to stay home on a holiday weekend, right?
Of course not. I road my bicycle to the store. Just returned a few minutes ago. And I saw two other cycle shoppers.
Two years ago I would have bet you $100 that I’d be the only one. I would have won. Today, I won’t take that bet.

It does not snow much here, but when it does I always enjoy riding in it.
The last time it did snow I was the only cyclist out there. Several people I encountered as I went to the coffee shop looked at me like I was crazy while others smiled like they where remembering snow days of their childhood.
It sure was fun.
