The morning is lovely — misty with mild temperatures.
Cold weather is coming. It looks like the bottom will drop out this evening. No matter. Wear the right gear and a 2.25-mile commute is rather easy even in the low 20s.

I took this picture just a few moments ago outside my house. This maple holds its leaves nearly as long as the oaks. It puts on a great show every year. The leaves hold their brilliance even after they fall.
But when they fall in the road they create a minor cycling hazard. Wet leaves are slick. So I’ll use a little extra caution this morning so I’ll be able to enjoy the mist and the color.

That’s a beautiful photo, Andy.
Even though fall is spring here, and I welcome the picture-perfect weather, I miss actual fall… the colors and the chill in the air.
And apples.

Nice photo. I need to take my camera out with me more often.

Nice colors on the maple. Ours didn’t do as well this season. I’m having to say “Just wait until last year!”
